Your journey begins with a scenic drive north from Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of East Africa’s leading wildlife reserves and a shining example of conservation success. You'll arrive at your luxury lodge in time for lunch and a bit of rest before heading out on an afternoon game drive across the conservancy’s open plains. Keep watch for lions, elephants, giraffes, and herds of plains game, all set against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Kenya.
The next morning, you'll visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary—the only one of its kind in Kenya—where rescued chimps now live in safety. You'll continue to the rhino sanctuary for a moving encounter with Baraka, the blind black rhino, and the last two remaining northern white rhinos on Earth. In the afternoon, you'll enjoy another expertly guided game drive as you explore this Big Five reserve and return to your lodge for a peaceful evening under the stars.
After breakfast, you'll depart Ol Pejeta and head south into the heart of the Great Rift Valley toward Lake Nakuru National Park. Upon arrival, you'll check into your elegant lodge with views over the lake or forest, followed by lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, you'll embark on a game drive through this compact yet wildlife-rich park, where flamingos, rhinos, giraffes, and elusive leopards await.
The next day offers both morning and afternoon game drives, giving you time to explore Lake Nakuru’s scenic landscapes, escarpments, and acacia woodlands. You'll watch as flocks of pelicans take off from the lake’s edge, keep an eye out for tree-climbing lions, and enjoy sweeping views from Baboon Cliff. After a fulfilling day, you'll return to your lodge for a candlelit dinner and the calming sounds of nature all around.
After breakfast, you'll journey across the scenic Rift Valley and through rural Kenya en route to the legendary Masai Mara. Along the way, you'll enjoy a picnic lunch or stop for local flavors before arriving at your tented camp in the heart of the reserve. You'll unwind with afternoon tea. Then, you'll head out for a sunset game drive to start your Mara experience with the golden savannah glowing in evening light.
You'll spend the next two days on immersive morning and afternoon game drives through the Mara’s vast plains, where lions, elephants, cheetahs, and the Great Migration (seasonal) await. Optional adventures include a sunrise hot air balloon safari or a walking safari guided by Maasai trackers for a truly personal perspective of the land. You'll go back to the camp, enjoy exceptional cuisine, campfire storytelling, and uninterrupted views of wildlife roaming freely.
You'll enjoy breakfast with views of the savannah before departing the Masai Mara for your return journey to Nairobi. Take in the last sights of wildlife along the way and reflect on the unforgettable moments of the past week.
Upon arrival in Nairobi, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or the international airport, where your journey concludes. Though the safari ends, the memories—and the magic of Kenya—will stay with you always.
